Upper School Chinese Teacher
     

Instruct, teach, & mentor students on a secondary (high school) level in all levels (1-5) of Chinese language courses; Set goals for lessons and projects, prepare materials and classrooms in accordance with ACTFL world-readiness criteria and the curricular criteria of SPS, and teach using a variety of techniques that emphasize the cultures connected to Chinese speakers. modify teaching strategies to fit student requirements, and communicate with parents and guardians about their development and the resources they require.

Req: Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Chinese, Linguistics, or a closely related field. Must be fluent in Chinese. Foreign degree equivalency is acceptable. Any suitable combination of education, training, or related experience is acceptable to meet these requirements.

Salary: $55,500/year; standard company benefits.
