Thrive Pet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide relief support across our Washington hospitals. Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital-all departments-Snohomish
Petcare Hospital and Wellness Center-Mill Creek
Cedar Creek Animal Hospital-Port Orchard
College Way Animal Hospital-Mount Vernon
Lien Animal Clinic-West Seattle
Alpine Animal Hospital-Issaquah
Redmond Kirkland Animal Hospital-Redmond
Redmond Fall City Animal Hospital-Redmond
Northwest Animal Hospital-Everett
Qualifications:
**LVT-Licensed Veterinary Technician-REQUIRED
- Emergency and Specialty Experience in addition to General Practice
- Possible overnight availability
- Reliable transportation
- Schedule flexibility
- Availability for 3-5 shifts per week-shifts range from 8-12 hours
- Prior experience with training and mentorship
Role Responsibilities-department/hospital dependent:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members
- Assist in maintaining relevant, accurate, and comprehensive medical records including accurate and relevant health history.
- Readies patients for discharge, gathers medications, ensures relevant paperwork is prepared and effectively communicates discharge instructions to pet parents.
- Support and perform general anesthesia and assist in surgery and anesthetic/sedation procedures
- Use a fear free approach to handling patients in keeping with hospital safety protocols and core values.
- Understands and completes in-patient and out-patient diagnostic tests and treatments requested by attending clinician.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support fellow team members.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience--$38-41/hr. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
