Omega Veterinary Group is the San Francisco Bay Area's only dedicated pet ICU. Owned by renowned criticalist, Dr. Dorrie Black, DVM, MPVM, DACVECC, and led by Dr. Black and a team of board certified critical care specialists, Omega draws on support from other specialties such as surgery, internal medicine and radiology to serve the most critically ill patients and those needing advanced care.
Located in beautiful San Mateo, just outside San Francisco, Omega offers the Bay Area's best-equipped ICU, with state of the art tools to provide extracorporeal therapies, endoscopy ultrasound and top-level ventilation and respiratory support. This ultimate level of care is delivered with compassion, placing the utmost importance on communication with clients and a 360-degree approach to their pet's treatment and recovery.
By mid-2025, Omega will expand its team to include additional criticalists and ER doctors, as well as an advanced orthopedics department, neurology and neurosurgery services and an ophthalmology service.
