Robles Bracken & Hughes, PLLC is a growing civil litigation defense firm handling complex matters throughout West Texas and New Mexico. We are looking for litigation-minded associates who want to develop real skills—drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, preparing for and appearing at hearings, evaluating cases, and building strategy—while working alongside experienced partners.

Associates work directly with partners and receive consistent teaching and mentorship from seasoned civil trial attorneys. The goal is deliberate growth as a litigator: you get meaningful responsibility across the full range of civil litigation work, with preparation and support, rather than being limited to pure discovery or document review. Courtroom and trial opportunities are available and supported for those who want them; responsibility increases as your skills and judgment develop.

We do not expect excessive hours, weekends, or constant overtime, with the rare exception of jury trial weeks. What You Will Do

• Review, analyze, and evaluate litigation matters
• Learn how to draft and argue motions and briefs
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear at hearings with preparation and support
• Assist with trial preparation and trial presentation
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure
• Develop defense themes and case strategy
• Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and co-counsel
• Manage cases with increasing autonomy over time

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 based on experience
