Experience & Skills Requirements
Thrive’s Medical Director, Veterinarians provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the highest standards of veterinary medical care within Thrive hospitals. This role combines hands-on clinical practice with medical leadership responsibilities, including mentorship of veterinarians, development of medical protocols, and collaboration with hospital leadership to support quality patient care and operational excellence. Requirements include:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- State Veterinary Board License:
- Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
- Obtained prior to start date
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
- Proven experience in emergency medicine
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills
